Welcome to my studio! I've moved from a traditional studio environment to a home studio allowing me the freedom to create whenever inspiration strikes. My artwork is mostly driven by memory and imagination. As the artist Chagall wisely noted, "If I create from the heart, nearly everything works. If from the head nothing."
Background
I was raised on a farm in the heart of the boreal forest, which became my playground. I treasure my time outdoors, finding peace in nature amid life's chaos. With background in education, I taught art to both elementary and high school students, constantly inspired their creativity as they discovered their unique voices. I see many connections between the natural and human worlds, imparting essential lessons on environmental preservation for future generations. My artwork is a tribute to the land, narrating its stories through personal symbols drawn from nature. Often working in series, my art serves as a visual journal, capturing my reflections and understanding of world around me throughout the years.
